Nice course, but moderately difficult. Greens are difficult to read and on the slower side. Most bunkers full of smaller stones, can be raked out of way to save your club per the starter. Par 3's were pretty challenging and the fairways are generous. Should have recorded the starters tips.

Great course. Unfortunately had bad experiences with the cart staff and main office manger. This course has three practice facilities. Driving range, chipping area, and a putting green. When you pay the high green fees, one expects to take full advantage of the practice facilities. I was over an hour early to my tee time because I knew I wanted to practice. The range is a short walk from the bag drop. I asked the employee if I could grab a cart. He said no. That I was too early. Making things worse, it started raining. I was hung out to dry because the greedy cart attendant would rather shake down golfers for tips than pull an adequate amount of carts out. It was 830 in the morning, why were there only six carts available. The rest were in the barn. I think he was upset that I didn't use the bag drop area. Evidencing this, the people in our group who did use the unnecessary bag drop, were able to get a cart no problem. Same tee time. After the round, I stepped in some landscaping sand after taking a group photo. I was demeaned by a belittling narcissist of a front desk attendant. Calling me special needs, saying my brain doesn't work like most folks. Who says this. He should not be

I got my first ever hole in 1 here today. Automatic 5 stars. The course was a fun layout, great conditions, great everything! And, not to take away from my round, it was not too difficult from the ladies’ tees.

What a beauty. Not sure if it fits the category “hidden gem” - as I’m an out of towner - but it wasn’t overly busy and I had a blast Not sure you’ll get better value for ~$80 - better than Seaview for example, imho

Twisted Dunes is hard! Excellent and extremely challenging design. This may be one of the most difficult golf courses I ever played. Tricks of the eye make approaches and tee shots intimidating. Sometimes expansive tiered greens and narrow to wide angle plays made every shot a true challenge. Also, it’s a little long: some par 4’s from the whites even with a great drive result in a long iron onto the green and some par 3’s may be out of reach for some who play from the whites. The facilities were much better than other reviews reported. I brought my own drinks but I didn’t have to. Cart girl. Dirt paths on both sides of each hole makes the wide fairways easier to deal with and play goes faster, but still allow 5 hours to play. Long fescue areas, plenty of water to hit over, and waste areas. Great mix. Most traps look like the bottom of your aquarium, but a few have real sand. Very high on my list of golf courses to play if you are in the area. Love the challenge! Makes me want to come back.
